MENZEL In-House Motor Reconditioning Workflow

Every reconditioned motor undergoes a rigorous engineering and quality-assurance protocol within our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Germany.

1. Disassembly & Cleaning

Complete mechanical teardown followed by industrial high-pressure and chemical cleaning of stators, rotors, housings, and terminal boxes to clear all surface contaminants.

2. Insulation & Winding Overhaul

Thermal drying in vacuum-circulated furnaces, complete rewinding of stator and rotor coils, and high-voltage Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) with Class H insulation systems.

3. Precision Rotor Balancing

Dynamic dynamic multi-plane balancing of assembled rotors and shafts, re-turning and micro-finishing of slip rings or commutators, and complete bearing re-dimensioning.

4. Mechanical Modifications

Custom adaptations including shaft diameter re-machining, foot-to-flange conversions, terminal box repositioning, and retrofitting external cooling fans (IC01, IC411, IC611, IC81W, IC511).

5. Sensor & Monitor Retrofitting

Installation of modern condition monitoring devices including PT100 / PTC temperature sensors, SPM vibration monitoring sensors, and digital incremental encoders for variable speed operation.

6. Full-Load Testing & Painting

Complete electrical and mechanical routine/load testing at our internal test bay in compliance with EN 60034, followed by customized industrial protective painting for harsh environments.
